Water electret
Water-electret route for PP meltblown filtration applications.

These values are a selection reference, not a final specification. A tailored TDS and trial recommendation can be provided after application review.
This grade serves the water-electret (hydro-charging) route for PP meltblown filtration applications — an alternative to corona charging that introduces charge via high-pressure water treatment rather than an electrical field. The typical starting dosage of 4–5% is a screening reference; the final addition level is confirmed against the buyer's line, water-treatment conditions, and target test method.
Water-electret and electrical charging are different production routes with different equipment, operating windows, and validation plans. A request for "electret masterbatch" is incomplete until the current or intended charging method is confirmed, because the two routes are not interchangeable and the masterbatch formulation is matched to the route.
As with any electret evaluation, finished-web efficiency and pressure drop are system results. Resin flow, fiber formation, web structure, basis weight, charging conditions, and sample conditioning all influence the measured result. Charge retention should be verified with aged or conditioned samples, not fresh samples alone, and results should be compared at the same basis weight against the same test standard.
When requesting a recommendation, share the PP resin and MFI condition, line and die information, target basis weight, the water-treatment setup, filtration standard, and efficiency and pressure-drop acceptance limits.
Recommended processing temperature must remain at or below 270°C.
Share the process, resin, target performance and estimated volume. Our application team will prepare the next product and trial recommendation.
