Product use & trial considerationsApplication notes
This standard-flow grade (MFI 1200 ± 100 g/10 min) is positioned as a general-purpose starting resin for PP meltblown lines producing filtration media, hygiene components, and industrial wipes substrates. The narrow molecular-weight distribution supports stable fiber formation across a conventional meltblown operating window, while low ash and low odor are specified with hygiene and medical-adjacent applications in mind.
In practice, resin selection for meltblown is only the first variable. Filtration efficiency and pressure drop are finished-web results shaped by the full route: die configuration, air settings, basis weight, and any downstream charging or lamination. A resin TDS therefore defines a screening window rather than a performance guarantee — trial data on the buyer's own line remains the deciding evidence.
Compared with the high-flow grade (MFI 1500), this standard-flow option offers a wider, more forgiving process window on conventional lines, at the cost of coarser fiber potential. Buyers developing fine-fiber or high-efficiency media who have the line capability to run hotter, narrower windows may evaluate the high-flow grade in parallel.
When requesting a recommendation, share the current resin and MFI condition, die and air configuration, target basis weight, and the finished-web test method. Typical values shown here are a selection reference; a tailored TDS follows application review.
